Blueflight GmbH was founded in 2026 and is the result of the Karman Aerospace Brand, started in 2023 by Dominik Kerschat. Back then the Karman Aerospace name was used for commercialization of projects that started as research in 2021.
A small, lightweight, and reliable Attitude Heading Reference System entered the commercial market in 2023. As a result of research into novel sensor fusion algorithms, a campaign was launched into low-cost, high-performance sensing solutions driven by software data fusion.

In 2025, Dominik completed his Master’s Thesis on sense-and-avoid systems in complex airspace environments, which led to the development of simulation software to predict complex traffic scenarios and their outcomes.
We use modern and agile development while adhering to approved aerospace standards and processes, which allows us to keep up with the rapidly developing market while maintaining safety. All of our products, including all custom solutions, maintain high levels or realiablity. Iterating fast while ensuring standards are maintained is a core ability enabled by software automation.
